Frequently Asked Questions
What If I Don’t Have A Youth Group or My Youth Group Doesn’t Want To Enter?
Don’t worry about it, come along anyway and have a fun night out being entertained by other churches. There will be time for people just to mingle.
Why a talent night?
Why not? PYV is aiming to provide different settings for youth to come together in. The social-type event can take the form of a talent night, a trivia night, a bushdance, or just a social.
A talent night also encourages youth groups to come to a PYV event as a group (similar to the Volleyball tournament), and for those groups entering, it provides opportunities for youth groups to have a Friday night activity where they can prepare and practice their performance.
What is a talent?
A talent can be anything from singing; to acting; to doing tricks. Just use your imagination. Remember that this is a group event so include as many people as possible into your act. One of the judging criteria will be how team oriented the act was.
Do we need to set up and back away the stage for your act?
Yes, it is important that you all practice setting up and putting away your props for your act, as you will only have about a minute to do each. Time management is very important for each team, as it allows us to fit more acts into the program.
More answers to Frequently Asked Questions will be placed on the PYV website over the coming weeks.
