What is it?
PYV in conjunction with the Victorian Christian Education and Nurture Committee, are bringing down a team from the Presbyterian Youth in NSW to run two (identical) training days which we are calling “Fuelled.”
When/Where?
• Sat 23rd July – Heathmont Presbyterian Church
• Sat 15th October – Bendigo Presbyterian Church
What will be covered? (Heathmont/Bendigo)
• Servant Leadership (Tony Archer/John Wilson)
• Introduction to Breaking the Silence (Peter Phillips/Kirsty Watson & Alex Venn)
• Participants can then choose between two streams:
1) youth ministry:
• Post—What? (Nathain Secker - Presbyterian Youth NSW)
• Growing Teenagers through Camps (Wayne Spencer - Presbyterian Youth NSW)
• Running a Friday night Youth Group (Wayne Spencer - Presbyterian Youth NSW)
OR 2) children’s ministry:
• Introducing God to Pre-schoolers (Chris Morphew)
• Giving a Kids’ Talk (Nathain Secker - Presbyterian Youth NSW)
• Holiday Clubs (Chris Morphew)
Who is it for?
It is not just for teenagers. It should be of benefit to:
• Youth group leaders
• Sunday School teachers
• Ministers
• Elders
How much?
Registration will be $20 before Oct 13 or $40 on the day. We encourage congregations to sponsor their members.
