Short Course on Youth Ministry

The Presbyterian Theological College in Box Hill will be running a 6 week short course on youth ministry on Wednesday nights, from April 22nd - May 20th 2009.

Taught by the CENC Youth Worker Andrew Vines, this course will seek to equip those ministering to youth in our churches. The two-hour per week course will cover the following topics:

• Youth and the family in the Old Testament
• Youth and the family in the New Testament
• Postmodernism in pop-culture
• Generation Y
• Historical trends in youth ministry
• Contemporary Strategies
• Teaching the bible: Being interesting and faithful
• Youth evangelism
• Pastoral Care
• Discipline
• Child protection - Breaking the Silence
• Developing Leaders: How Jesus did it.
